Stainless steel CPM S35VN steel was heat treated by MetalEx here in Colorado and the batch hardness came out to 59-61 HRC. I found this gives the best edge retention and edge toughness in one package. Cut through big game hide with ease, maintain the edge and strop it back to a razor sharp blade right in the field!
